Ain o Salish Kendra has slammed Human Rights Watch (HRW) for casting doubts on the fairness of war crimes tribunal verdict against Jamaat-e-Islami guru Ghulam Azam.

Its General Secretary ZI Khan Panna alleged the New York-based human rights group was trying to undermine public trust in Bangladesh’s judiciary by “leveling ‘false’ accusations internationally.”
In a statement on Friday, the HRW claimed the trial of Ghulam Azam at the International Crimes Tribunal ‘was deeply flawed and did not meet international fair trial standards’.
Responding to that, Panna told bdnews24.com, “The statement proves HRW has sided with the war criminals. This is against human rights and is nothing but pro-imperialism.”
He tagged the International Crimes Tribunal as the world’s best tribunal for trying crimes against humanity.
