Badiuzzaman, who has been performing the duties of Chairman after the retirement of Ghulam Rahman, will now have the rank, status and pay of a Supreme Court Appellate Division Judge as ACC Chairman, the announcement said.

Dr Nasiruddin Ahmed, a retired civil servant whose last position was NBR Chairman and Internal Resources Division Secretary, will have the rank and pay of a High Court Division Judge.
On Monday, the government made Badiuzzaman Acting Chairman of the anti-graft watchdog until appointment of its new Chairman.
The term of his predecessor Rahman ended last Sunday.
Earlier on June 20, Rahman in his farewell call termed the ACC a ‘toothless tiger’ because of the legal limitations preventing it hunting down the high-profile graft suspects.
