A Dhaka court on Monday granted a two-day police remand of each of the four owners of the readymade garment factories housed in the Rana Plaza in connection with a case filed over the collapse.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Taiyubul Hasan passed the order after the Investigation officer in the case Assistant Superintendent of Police Bijay Krishna Kar produced them before him with a prayer for a 5-day remand for each.

Four owners are Anisur Rahman, Bajlus Samad Adnan, Aminul Islam and Mahmudur Rahman Taposh.
They have already been interrogated in two phases by law enforcers for 10 days.
They are accused of negligence that led to the death of more than 1130 people after the nine-storey building near Savar bus stand caved in on Apr 24.
The case, filed a day after the catastrophe, also named owner of the building Sohel Rana as one of the accused.
