The team led by Allama Ruhul Amin went to the Ganabhaban on Thursday night.
The made the demand a day before Hifazat-e Islam begins a long march towards Dhaka from Chittagong demanding punishment for ‘atheists’ bloggers.
After the meeting, one of the scholars told reporters they exactly had the same demands as Hifazat's.
Their demands include arrest of those who have been identified as defaming Islam, closure of their Facebook pages, formulation of law to protect Prophet Mohamamd’s dignity, recognition of Kaomi madrasas and seizure of all the books by Maududi, founder of Jamaat-e-Islami.
