Police recover body in Kushtia

The body of a businessman was recovered on Saturday in Doulatpur Upazila of Kushtia.

Kushtia, Apr 17 (bdnews24.com) -- The body of a businessman was recovered on Saturday in Doulatpur Upazila of Kushtia.
The victim, Selim Karikar (35), a fish trader, was the son of Bazlu Karikur of Pranpur village.
He sold fish from his shop at the Pranpur market.
The OC of Doulatpur Police Station, Hasan Hafizur Rahman, informed reporters that the dead body was found in a field of the neighboring village Gangarampur Saturday morning.
He said that Selim went out of his home on Friday evening and was missing since then.
Locals informed the police in the morning after finding a slaughtered corpse in a field.
Relatives of Selim identified him when the police was recovering the corpse.
The body is sent to Kushtia general hospital for post mortem.
Hafizur Rahman also said that the murder was already under investigation.
