Narayanganj, July 20 (BDNEWS) - An alleged terrorist was killed early Thursday in 'crossfire' between the members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and a group of terrorists at Fatulla in Narayanganj.
The deceased was identified as Ruhul Amin alias Rahul.
RAB said, acting on a tip off, a team of RAB members conducted a drive at Nurpur of Shyampur Wednesday and arrested Rahul.
Following his confession, RAB conducted another raid at Fatullah along with Rahul to recover arms and nab his accomplices.
RAB said when they reached the area, the accomplices of Rahul opened fire on them from their hideouts. RAB also retaliated.
At one stage, Rahul fell in line of fire and died on the spot while trying to escape. The accomplices of Rahul, however, managed to flee leaving one pipe gun and six round bullets.
