Kishoreganj, Nov 3 (BDNEWS) – The 178th congregation of Eid at Solakia in Kishoreganj will be held on the largest Solakia Eidgah in the country at 10am.
About three lakh Muslims are expected to join the Eid prayers at Solakia held in 265 rows with an enormous ablution space established on seven acres of land.
Kishoreganj Bora Bazar Jame Masjid Khatib Mufti Abul Khaer Mohammad Saifullah will be the Imam at the Eid jamaat of Solakia ground.
As the tradition goes, shotgun will be fired thrice five minutes before the congregation, twice three minutes before and once one minute before the jamaat.
This time Sadar thana officer-in-charge and Rifle Club secretary has been tasked with the job.
All preparations have been completed to hold one of the largest Eid congregations in the subcontinent peacefully. Besides law enforcers, there will also be fire extinguishers.
The district administration at a meeting invited Housing and Public Works Minister Mirza Abbas, education minister Osman Faruq, all lawmakers of the district and diplomats working in Bangladesh to attend the congregation.
