Dhaka, Oct 2 (BDNEWS) – Two people including a child were killed and another two injured in two separate incidents at Jhalkathi and Chittagong on Sunday.
A 10-year-old girl was killed while her father injured in a road accident at Bypass Crossing of Krishnakathi in Jhalkathi town Sunday.
The deceased Bithi, daughter of Nazrul Islam, was a student of class three of Kutubnagar Madrassa.
Bithi was crushed under the wheels of a jeep bound to Barisal while she was on her way to the madrassa by his father's bicycle in the morning.
Bithi died on the spot and her father was admitted to Sadar Hospital in a critical condition. Police arrested the jeep driver Mohammad Maharaj.
In a separate incident a bus helper was killed at Kaibortokhali area on Chittagong road. The dead was identified as Azam (30) of Chouddagram under Comilla. Witnesses said Azam fell down from the bus Uttaran of Chittagong –Bhandaria route when he was trying to get down from the bus.
