Police arrested two persons for their involvement in a robbery posing them as DB police Friday morning.

Chittagong, Sept 16 (BDNEWS) – Police arrested two persons for their involvement in a robbery posing them as DB police Friday morning.
The arrestees were identified as Suman Bhattacharya and Mohammad Rafiq.
Panchalaish police said, they arrested Rafiq from the Textile Gate under Byezid thana and Suman from Sholashahar area.
Earlier, four youths entered the house of Sirajul Islam Chowdhury, an owner of Chowdhury Plaza at 93 Purba Nasirabad, Thursday noon posing them as DB police and robbed 100 tolas of gold and Tk 25 thousand.
Sirajul Islam filed a robbery case with Panchlaish thana in this connection.
Suman is the mastermind of the robbery. A few days back he went to the house of Sirajul Islam and asked for the mobile number of his (Sirajul) son, police said.
Following the lead given by Suman, police arrested Rafiq on suspicion of his involvement in the robbery.
