Kidnapped police officials killed
Two policemen kidnapped from Shakharpar area of Rajoir Upazila in Madaripur have been killed.

Madaripur, May 5 (BDNEWS) – Two policemen kidnapped from Shakharpar area of Rajoir Upazila in Madaripur have been killed.
A leader of outlawed Sarbahara Party Akkel Ali, arrested in connection with kidnapping of the police personnel, disclosed this to the police while making a confessional statement Thursday.
Akkel Ali said Sarbahara leader Abdul Aziz caught Sub Inspector Hasnine Azam Khan and office assistant Quamrul Alam Thakur of Detective Branch at gunpoint while they returning after performing an official duty on April 3.
The kidnappers throwing the motorbike of the policemen into the river Kumar at Srinadi area boarded on an engine-driven boat at Kacharighat area of Shibchar Upazila.
In the boat, the terrorists hacked the policemen to death and threw the bodies into the Arial Khan river cutting into pieces.
Police Super Makbul Hossain along with Akkel Ali visited the spot. But, police could not trace the motorcycle and the bodies.
